Simone Feiler Founder and CEO of Sydney Audiobook Production organised the recording, editing and production for the Work Wonders: Feed Your Dog Raw Meaty Bones audiobook.
Building on the experience, we went back into the recording studio and recorded Raw Meaty Bones: Promote Health and the latest in the trilogy: Multi-Billion-Dollar Pet Food Fraud: Hiding in Plain Sight.
As you may imagine lots goes into the successful recording and publishing of an audiobook. For me, it was a completely new departure. I’d never listened to an audiobook and didn’t know anything about the mechanics of getting the words on the page converted to an audio track and then the uploading and publishing that must occur before anyone can listen.
These days, of course, the internet is the source of instant access to a world of information. Happily, on this occasion, good things flowed. I was fortunate to find Simone during early searches.
That she lives in Brisbane, a long day’s drive from Sydney, posed no problem as she organised the recording to take place at a reputable studio convenient for me.
Coordinating the whole audiobook publishing process, Simone ensured the multiple files for all 3 audiobooks received the expert editing and production attention that she’s renowned for.

Postscript
In 1991, when Breck Muir and I blew the whistle on the junk pet food/veterinary conspiracy, the notion that 30 years on three books on the subject could be listened to by anyone walking down the street with a smartphone in their pocket would seem far-fetched nonsense. But today, it’s not nonsense, it’s the everyday reality.
What is nonsensical, even I would say criminal, is that the junk pet food (both cooked and raw) collaboration continues as strong or stronger than in 1991.
Our task, then, is to expose the collaborators and disseminate the good health message for pets, people and the planet. And all the better if we can enjoy the experience.
